Jacques Cheminade – a French-Argentinian politician, as well as activist, and the President of Solidarité et Progrès – was invited to address the Party Congress of the Civil Rights Movement Solidarity (BüSo) that took place in Frankfurt on July 11, 2026. During the event, he presented the common mission of the two parties in this turbulent situation. Franco-German relations today, he said, were at a historical low level, adding: “Our governments agree on only one thing: confront Russia, and sabotage the spirit of Anchorage”, i.e., the Trump-Putin Summit of August 2025.

On the economic and social situation in France, Cheminade gave a devastating overview. The rate of poverty has reached 15.4% or 10 million of whom 35-40% are children. Inequalities are increasing, while the economy is collapsing, with a wave of bankruptcies that reached 70,000 in 2025 and is expected to increase by 25% in 2026. Moreover, “Drugs prevail all over our country, not only in cities, but also in all villages. And Marseilles is like a European Medellin,” he stressed.

According to Cheminade, people are worried about their purchasing power and security. And because they are brainwashed by the media, a majority of them still consider Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin as the tyrant of the Kremlin and Xi Jinping as a Chinese malevolent emperor. The same media constantly induce in the population the fear of the other, which is another weapon of the oligarchy, to promote the psychosis of being in “a war of all against all”.

Cheminade further said that although the population “hates and rejects Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron, the official alternatives – Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon – are no alternatives”. Marine Le Pen and her National Rally are deeply involved in the illusions of cryptocurrencies and “they are accomplices – or consenting victims – of the Trump crowd of multi billionaires and trillionaires societies“. The government, as well as these fake sovereignists, fully play the anti-migrant card. “To be a true sovereignist, you have to consider the migrant as a human person, not as an economic problem,” he told the audience.

As for the so-called moderate left in France, Cheminade explained that they were anti-China and anti-Putin, and basically repeated the narrative of the City of London and Wall Street. Then there is Jean-Luc Mélenchon on the extreme left. On the positive side, he called for “withdrawing from NATO, for fruitful relations with China and well-meaning and good social measures”.

However, Cheminade is against the basis for achieving them, because he is against nuclear energy… and he manipulates the Palestinian issue as a way to get the vote of the hyphenated French voters. But not for the sake of justice.

In this situation, Cheminade concluded that an increasing number of sovereignist forces and of “maverick politicians” were open to what Solidarité et Progrès proposed. The key now is to bring them, and others, to understand the unique contribution of Lyndon LaRouche and to understand human history as he did.
