Just as US President Donald John Trump suspended attacks on Iran on July 24, 2026 after 13 days of strikes, a major provocation was launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy and his Western backers the next day, aimed at merging the conflicts in West Asia and in Ukraine into one major World War. Ukrainian drones hit vessels in the Caspian Sea headed to Iran, causing on an Iranian merchant vessel an explosion that killed one crew member and injured another. Zelenskyy proudly announced the “successful attacks”, claiming that the ships were transporting military cargo from Russia to Iran.

Moreover, the acting President of Ukraine wrote on X that Ukrainian intelligence agencies would share with the US and other countries the information they had regarding “Russian satellite surveillance” of the Gulf states. He also claimed that there was “a clear correlation” between that satellite imagery and the Iranian strikes on US military bases in the Gulf and Jordan.

This is a blatant attempt to push the unstable President Trump into supporting Ukraine’s losing war against Russia, poisoning the Trump-Putin dialogue and reigniting hostilities against the Islamic Republic. In Europe, the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing are playing the same card. The danger of an escalation into a new world war – this time nuclear – could hardly be greater.

An apparently oblivious Zelenskyy nonetheless travelled to the UK, where he was the first foreign Head of State to be received by the new Prime Minister Andy Burnham, before heading to the US to attend the funeral of Lindsey Graham. The two leaders discussed the development of joint defence production, with the UK now deciding to provide Ukraine with electronic warfare technologies to protect its drones.

It may be noted that just a week ago, Zelenskyy fired the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky and just one week before that he had sacked his Defence Minister Mykhailo Albertovych Fedorov, the “prince of drone and electronic warfare”. Such radical changes in government are not made when a country has confidence in its winning strategy… The Ukrainian President made these moves at a time when protests continued against the draft and the government reshuffle.

It explains, in part, the insane attempt of the puppet masters of the Zelenskyy Regime to internationalise the conflict and to force all countries to decide now between “the West’s unipolar world” and the rest of the world. General Harald Kujat, former Chairperson of the NATO Military Committee, recently asked whether European leaders have any idea of the acute danger of a nuclear war and its consequences.
