Land Erosion & A CIA Secret…
Land erosion is going on at an alarming rate as around one million square kilometres of land are being lost every year across the globe. Hence, it has become increasingly difficult to prevent Climate Change and to protect nature, as well as the environment. A recently published research paper of the United Nations has made such a claim. According to the paper, 15 million square kilometres of land (roughly the size of the South Pole) has already been wiped out. Naturalists have urged the international community to stop torturing the land immediately, saying that the danger is imminent, otherwise.
The UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Conference of the Parties (COP16), or the Earth Summit, took place in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on December 2-13, 2024, as the participants from 200 countries discussed various ways to curb the increasing desertification around the world. This summit is less popular than the other two UN conferences on Climate Change and Biodiversity. Since 1992, the main goal of the Earth Conference has been to make the planet habitable. Therefore, the publication of the research paper ahead of the Riyadh Summit is quite significant. This paper is closely linked to the UN Convention on Combating Desertification (UNCCD). Ibrahim Thiaw, the Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the UNCCD, stated: “If we do not understand the importance of land and do not take appropriate measures to curb land erosion, then it will affect all aspects of life. Future generations will find it more difficult to live.“
When CIA Hid Mass Extinction Through Ocean Flood Theory
There is a theory, called Mass Extinction Through Ocean Flood, which claims that the mass extinction would occur during worldwide floods, caused by the narrowing of the Earth at the time of galactic gravitational compression. It may be noted that Chan Thomas (1920 – 1998), an American engineer, ufologist, writer on ancient cataclysms and self-proclaimed polymath, had penned a book, titled The Adam and Eve Story, way back in 1963. He predicted a mass extinction through ocean floods in this book, triggering panic worldwide. However, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) uploaded the book on its website in June 2023! It is still unclear why the US intelligence agency took six decades to publish the online version of this book.
In his publication, Thomas gave a detailed account of how humans would disappear from the Earth. He claimed that ocean floods and the tsunami would play an important role in mass extinction. Strangely, the CIA did not allow the publisher to print a single copy of the book. It seems that the Cuban Missile Crisis prompted the CIA to make this move. The Cold War between the US and the erstwhile Soviet Union witnessed intense rivalry between the two superpowers in the 1960s. The US considered the establishment of a Communist Government led by Fidel Castro in Havana in 1959 as a serious threat. In May 1962, the Soviet Union began secretly building missile launch sites in Cuba, led by Premier Nikita Khrushchev. With this, the fear of Soviet invasion spread throughout the US. In October 1962, US President John F Kennedy ordered a naval blockade of Cuba after an American U-2 spy plane photographed the missile sites. The US Navy used destroyers, frigates, radar picket ships, Navy fighters and airborne early warning planes during the blockade. After 13 days, Khrushchev agreed to dismantle the missile sites in exchange for the US not invading Cuba, while the US dismantled its own missile sites in Turkey. The CIA officials thought that the US citizens would be more afraid in case of the publication of Thomas’ book during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The US Government allowed Thomas’ book to get published under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in 2013… 57 years after the Cuban Missile Crisis. As expected, the book triggered a sensation in the US. In this publication, the author made an attempt to prove that the mass extinction as described in the world’s famous mythological tales was a fact through archaeological evidence. He claimed that ancient stories related to the mass extinction were not fiction. Instead, those events did actually happen. Thomas pointed to the exact factual, as well as narrative, similarities between those stories as a proof of this, apart from trying to find a scientific explanation for them. As an example, he mentioned the story of Noah’s ark described in the Bible, stressing that there was a similarity between the Bible and Vishnu Purana, one of the 18 ancient and medieval texts of Hinduism. In Vishnu Purana, it is mentioned that Lord Vishnu became a fish in order to rescue humans and animals during flood. A similar sort of flood is mentioned in Noah’s story, too!
Interestingly, both the Bible and Hindu mythology describe how a huge ark saved mankind from the flood. Mythological legends of other ancient civilisations also mention tsunamis! Among them, Gilgamesh of Babylon, Ziusudra of Egypt, Ginyu of China and Deucalion of Greece are significant. According to Thomas, mass extinctions due to ocean floods are mentioned in ancient texts of 40 different cultures around the world and it is not a mere coincidence! Also, there is a strange consistency in the period of composition of these legends as those were written 7,000-9,000 years ago.
Thomas mentioned two such lost civilisations in The Adam and Eve Story. One of them was Atlantis that (according to the author) was located in the north of the Atlantic Ocean. Plato mentioned this civilisation in his works Timaeus and Critias. According to the Greek philosopher, Atlantis was a circular city-centred civilisation in the middle of the ocean that was completely buried because of flooding. In 1965, archaeologists discovered a strange and prominent circular geological feature in the Adrar Plateau of the Sahara. It is located near Ouadane in the Adrar Region of Mauritania. They named it the Richat Structure or Guelb er Richât or the Eye of the Sahara. The structure, measuring 50km in diameter, is highly visible even from high above the Earth. However, archaeologists have not accepted the Richat Structure as the ruins of the lost city of Atlantis as described by Plato. Instead, they have claimed that it has developed naturally.
Later, a huge pyramid-shaped temple city, submerged in the Pacific Ocean near Japan, was discovered. Thomas claimed that it was the ruins of Atlantis. However, a group of scientists refused to recognise this undersea structure as a pyramid temple. They submitted several proofs that it, too, was made naturally.
Thomas’ efforts were not entirely in vain as he found an entire mythical city that was extended from the Philippines to the Eastern Islands in the east-west and from Hawaii to the Cook Islands in the north-south. He also discovered some strange statues lying beneath the ground on the Eastern Island near the seashore. After studying those statues, researchers came to the conclusion that some parts of them were buried under the ground because of the immense pressure of the water. In his publication, Thomas mentioned that the statues were installed for the beautification of the mythical city. He called these statues Moai, stating that there were similarities between the Rapa Nui tribe (the indigenous Polynesian people of Easter Island), the Aboriginals of Australia and the Red Indians of North America.
Thomas further mentioned the Pole Shift Hypothesis (also known as the Cataclysmic Pole Shift Hypothesis) while explaining the cause of the flood behind the mass extinction. As the Earth rotates on its axis, there is also a motion between the sea and the land, stressed the author. If the motion of the land changes due to any reason, it has an effect on the sea. Therefore, there could be a massive flood which could bury an entire continent under the huge amount of water in the ocean.
For example, Thomas mentioned the extinction of Mammoths. A mammoth is any species of the extinct elephantid genus Mammuthus. They had lived from the late Miocene epoch (from around 6.2 million years ago) into the Holocene until about 4,000 years ago, with mammoth species at various times inhabiting Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. It may be noted that fossils of mammoths have been found in northern Russia’s Siberia region, 6,500km away from the North Pole. Hence, Thomas claimed that Siberia and the North Pole were located at the same place! He also mentioned the discovery of fossils of Ecuadorian plants in Antarctica, stressing that the two poles had switched their positions.
On the other hand, Alfred Lothar Wegener (November 1, 1880 – November 1930), a German climatologist, geologist, geophysicist, meteorologist and polar researcher, had published his The Origin of Continents and Oceans in 1915. His views gradually started gaining popularity in the 1970s and influenced the Plate Tectonic Theory which explains how the Earth’s lithosphere is made up of large tectonic plates that move over the mantle, creating major landforms and other geologic features. The Plate Tectonic Theory proved Thomas’ Theory of Pole Shift wrong. Still, there is a huge demand for The Adam and Eve Story as the book penned by Thomas has become a bestseller!
