Israel, US Must Bear The Responsibility
The world is engulfed in a terrible armed conflict, yet again. This is not just a conflict of interests, but an imperialist aggression which, if escalated further, could take the form of an all-out war. However, it is difficult to find any diplomatic justification for the decision of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu and US President Donald John Trump to attack Iran.
There are many serious allegations against the Islamic Republic. The conflict of interests between the Ayatollah Khamenei Regime and the Western Powers, both domestically and diplomatically, has been a long-standing one, especially over the control of oil. However, the joint military operation against the West Asian nation is not justified on the basis of the international norms that were documented after the Second World War to prevent such unilateral aggression. The assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei (April 19, 1939 – February 28, 2026) with a long-range missile is a barbaric act.

Unfortunately, the two who have done this are democratic countries and they have taken the responsibility to protect democracy across the globe! It is quite natural that those who do not follow democratic principles, like sovereignty, use the self-imposed burden (duty?) as a cover for their own vested interests. President Trump and his war-monger friend (Netanyahu) have become dangerously aggressive in recent times. Since returning to office on January 20, 2025, Trump has bombed eight countries (Iran, Venezuela, Boat strikes in Latin America, Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen, Syria and Iraq). He has also announced that his next target is Cuba.

On the other hand, Iran has never bowed to any foreign powers. The military might and diplomatic strength of the Islamic Republic are quite strong. Hence, Tehran immediately retaliated and targeted the infrastructure that keeps the neighbouring Gulf countries (where the US has set up military bases) functional specifically to force a total collapse of the region. Iran launched a wave of missile and drone attacks on Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Israel, who (except Iraq and the Jewish Nation) have never been directly involved in a war. With this, Tehran has sparked fears of a regional conflagration.

Iran has also blocked the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil shipping route and a highly sensitive region as far as global geopolitics is concerned, in a rare first. Air traffic, too, is completely disrupted. Therefore, the entire global communications system has come to a standstill.
Israel must bear the responsibility for creating this severe global political, economic, trade and social crisis. Tel Aviv would argue that it was a pre-emptive step. However, no one would buy the argument that the Zionist Regime is trying to control the situation by taking steps in advance of an imminent conflict. Although Tehran has repeatedly threatened Tel Aviv, it has never launched any attacks on the Jewish State. When Israel and the US carried out missile attacks on Iran and destroyed its nuclear facilities on June 13-24, 2025 (during the Gaza Conflict), Tehran did not take any counter-offensive measures.

Of course, the ultra-hardline regime of Ayatollah Khamenei provided, and continues to provide, widespread support to Radical Islam in West Asia. If Israel and the US want to solve the issue through military operation, then they have to destroy the entire Islamic Republic. Perhaps, none of these arguments are acceptable to Tel Aviv and Washington DC who have already destroyed the Gaza Strip and carried out genocide there. This is just another moment of barbaric exhilaration for them.
