Well, it is being said that a person, with criminal records, has become the 47th President of the US! Donald John Trump is not just an accused, but also a convicted (by the court) and sentenced criminal! He has been tried for embezzlement of billions of dollars and other financial corruption, as well. People across the globe have been hearing his vulgar, racist, xenophobic and misogynist speeches for a long time. As a result of his unscientific, reckless and inhumane actions, nearly 1.2 million innocent people perished in the US during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The frozen bodies of many of them laid in refrigerated trucks for months, awaiting burial! The President of the richest nation advised his countrymen to take bleach injections, instead of vaccines! It may well be added that the nurses in New York hospitals had to wear garbage bags for lack of gowns during the rage of the Pandemic.

Avram Noam Chomsky believes that the two biggest crises in the contemporary world are Climate Change and the possibility of a Nuclear War. In 2024, the Americans have elected such a President whose attitude towards both crises has been completely casual, as well as reckless. On a number of occasions, he has publicly stated: “Climate Change is a hoax.” The Ku Klux Klan had at least quadrupled on the US soil during Trump’s first term as President (2017-21). Incidents related to gunfire and Police brutality reportedly reached an all-time high in the US during his presidency. Attacks on African-Americans, immigrants and homosexuals, too, increased sharply! No one has forgotten the incident of the attack and occupation of Capitol Hill by Trump’s militant supporters.

Some of his campaign speeches ahead of the 2024 US Presidential Elections had never been heard in the past. Like other racist leaders, Trump promised to make some amendments to the US Constitution and to ‘Make America Great Again‘. It seems that Project 2025, the secret document of Trump and Vice President-elect James David Vance, is basically a blueprint for establishing an authoritarian regime! Still, he received the support from business tycoons, like Elon Reeve Musk and Jeffrey Preston Bezos. Today, the king-makers no longer hide behind the scenes… they don’t need to be.

Incidentally, both Hindus and Muslims voted for Trump this time with amazing enthusiasm! Little do they know that Trump and his Republican Party have much idea about their religion. Trump has decided to scrap the Social Security System, the only hope of retired citizens! This is his blueprint.

One also needs to wonder and ponder about why the Democratic Party has lost the election. Misogyny and racism have certainly to do with Kamala Harris‘ electoral debacle, but that is a secondary issue. The Democratic Party of Clinton, Obama, Nancy Pelosi has lost touch with common people in recent times. The main trade of the US is manufacturing and exporting arms and defence equipment. The Democratic Party has sold itself to the corporate world in the wake of global war and economic aggression! The Democratic Party has changed its character as it is no longer the party of Roosevelt or Kennedy. The same is applicable to the Republican Party. Trump’s Republican Party, too, is no longer the Republican Party of Eisenhower or Abraham Lincoln. Both parties are responsible for the incredible economic inequality, health crisis, illiteracy and resurgence of hatred in the US. Currently, the US ranks at the bottom among First World countries as one in six of its citizens is below the poverty line. Drug trafficking and prostitution are other major issues. Commodity prices, too, have skyrocketed over the past four years.

Donald Trump started making preparations for a comeback since losing the 2020 Presidential Elections, while the Democratic Party introduced Kamala Harris to people only after Joe Biden announced his voluntary retirement a couple of months before the 2024 Presidential Elections. It is unlikely that the Presidential Elections can be won this way!

By bringing Trump back for a second term, the corporate Democratic Party has further weakened the progressive forces within it. Now, Bernie Sanders, Ralph Nader, Pramila Jayapal and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have lost their importance. There is no one left to speak for poor people in US politics. The inhabitants of the darkness of fascism and hatred have taken to the streets once again with guns in their hands in the US and some other countries!
