Donald John Trump assured the global community that he would try his best to stop wars going on in different parts of the world, immediately after winning the 2024 US Presidential Elections. However, Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shia Islamist political outfit and paramilitary group, has intensified attacks on Israel after Trump’s landslide victory! According to defence experts, it would be really difficult for the US President-elect to ensure peace in West Asia.

The victory of the pro-Israeli Republican leader in the Presidential Elections has upset Hezbollah, the Palestinian Hamas Movement and Iran. Hence, the Lebanese group has started launching rockets, missiles and drones on Israel without wasting time. They are mainly targeting the Israeli ports and bases of Israel Defence Forces (IDF). The Times of Israel reported that Hezbollah launched more than 150 rockets and missiles within the 48 hours of Trump’s victory, targeting northern Galilee, Tel Aviv and Acre.

According to sources, the IDF could not destroy all the rockets and missiles fired by Hezbollah in mid-air with its four-tier Air Defence System, called Iron Dome! As a result, the sound of sirens was heard for a long time in at least 53 Israeli cities, prompting many to take shelter in bunkers. As far as the Israeli port cities are concerned, Hezbollah is targeting Haifa, Ashdod, Jaffa, Hadera and Ashkelon. Although Shiite militant organisation carried out drone attacks to blow up the ammunition of the IDF, it was not fully successful!

In early November 2024, the IDF claimed that it destroyed 90% of Hezbollah’s secret bases in Lebanon. The Zionist Regime carried out deadly airstrikes on the neighbouring country in order to break the backbone of the Iran-backed Lebanese armed group. Israel also carried out ground operations in various cities of Lebanon and Syria. However, Hezbollah still resists the Israeli aggression with the help of Syria and Jordan! Defence experts have opined that Damascus and Amman could create serious trouble for Tel Aviv in the coming days.

Lebanon got involved in war with Israel several times in the 1960s and 1970s. A huge number of Lebanese citizens took refuge in Jordan and Syria at that time. According to the Israeli intelligence agencies, Hezbollah has trained those people and admitted them to its armed forces! Mossad has mentioned in a report that Hezbollah leader Sheikh Naim Mohammad Qassem has turned the Lebanese refugees in Jordan and Syria against Jews by influencing them with religious sentiment. More than 100,000 Hezbollah fighters are fully prepared to attack Israel. The Jewish Nation has carried out airstrikes in Syria several times in recent times. However, it did not take the same action against Jordan as Amman shares cordial ties with Washington DC. Currently, the Zionist Regime is trying hard to put Jordan under diplomatic pressure with the help of the US.

The IDF blew up several Hezbollah tunnels in southern Lebanon in the first week of November 2024. The video of this act has recently been released by the IDF. The Health Minister of Lebanon, too, has confirmed that the Israeli attacks have claimed nearly 3,000 lives so far. Meanwhile, Qassem has declared: “We will continue our war plan within the outlined political frameworks, we will remain on the path of war. Get out of our land to reduce your losses. If you stay, you will pay more than you have ever paid in your life.” The Hezbollah leader stressed: “It is better for us to have a resistance with a defensive attack than to be waiting and doing nothing, waiting for Israel to attack us and surprise us in one way or another. We are ready. If it is imposed on us, we will face it with all strength, determination, steadfastness and pride.” He added: “No one is fighting on our behalf. Let everyone know. We are not fighting on behalf of anyone. Nor for anyone’s personal project (plan). We are fighting for our project.“

Meanwhile, Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, held a secret meeting with the generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) after Trump was elected 47th US President. According to the Israeli intelligence sources, Tehran may recruit Pakistani nationals to eliminate the newly elected US President and Mossad agents!

Interestingly, Houthis have hinted that they may declare a ceasefire soon after Trump returns to the White House! So, there is no possibility of attacks on Israel from Yemen in the coming days. However, the IRGC can carry out attacks on US military bases scattered in West Asia. Hence, Washington DC is planning to engage in a shadow war with the Islamic Republic in an attempt to prevent the possible attacks! Reports suggest that the US is desperate to supply arms and ammunition to Kurd rebels and other opposition groups in Iran in order to destabilise Tehran.

The IDF has already destroyed the Gaza Strip. Now, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu wants to merge Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories into the Jewish land! As many of his party leaders are against this move, Netanyahu is trying to get the support of the US and IDF generals to fulfil his cherished dream!
