Out Of The Barrel Of A Gun!

The minority communities in Pakistan have strongly criticised the Pakistani Army for nurturing terrorism! In a rare first, they have staged protests against the Pakistani Armed Forces outside the South Asian country. Just outside the UN Headquarters in Geneva, they hanged a poster, reading: ‘Pakistan Army epi-centre of International Terrorism‘, in the last week of February!
Currently, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is holding its 43rd Session (February 24 – March 20, 2020) at the UN Headquarters in Geneva. The Pak minorities have chosen the UNHRC Session as the platform to stage protests against their Army! The Swiss media reported that protesters belonged to the Baloch and Pashtun communities. They claimed that the Pakistani Army were trying to suppress their rightful movements (seeking justice), forcefully, in the name of ‘War against Terror‘. At the same time, the protesters urged the UN to put the Government of Pakistan under pressure in order to protect the minorities…

It is to be noted that neighbouring India has been accusing the Pakistani Army of sponsoring terrorism in (India-administered) Kashmir for long. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) – an intergovernmental organisation founded in 1989 on the initiative of the G7, to develop policies to combat money laundering – has also put Pakistan in its Grey List, saying that it would take tough action against Islamabad, if Pakistan continued to support terror outfits, like Lashkar-e-Taiba (one of the largest and most active Islamist terrorist organisations in South Asia, operating mainly from Pakistan) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (a Pakistan-based Deobandi jihadist group active in Kashmir). In a statement released after its recent Paris Summit, the FATF stated that Pakistan would have to fulfill the conditions (given to Islamabad) by the end of June!

In recent times, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan Niyazi has expressed serious concern over the condition of minority communities in neighbouring India. The Geopolitical Experts believe this is Khan’s strategy to divert the Global attention from Pakistan’s internal issues. On the other hand, India has slammed Pakistan for torturing Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and other minority communities living in that country. Meanwhile, the Balochs and the Pashtuns have revealed the actual character of the Government of Pakistan, and the Pakistani Army at the Global stage!
