2028 US Presidential Poll: Diane Sare Declares Candidacy

Just hours after the US Government conducted Operation Absolute Resolve to kidnap Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros and took him forcibly in handcuffs to New York to face trial on January 3, 2026; Diane Sare, a leader of the LaRouche Movement and former candidate for US Senator from New York State, issued a statement, titled: Why I Declare My Candidacy for President of the United States of America.

In the statement, Sare mentioned that “everything about this action (in Venezuela) stands in violation of international law, the UN Charter and, crucially for the American people, in violation of our own US Constitution”, and of the principles of the Declaration of Independence. She warned that “the US is a powerful nation. If that power is deployed under the lawless doctrine expressed in the recently released National Security Strategy, our nation will not merely harm itself, but like the suicidal killer on the rooftop, our nation can become a threat to billions of innocent people across the planet as a whole”.

After explaining her qualification for leading the country, Diane Sare came to the background to the current war drive, saying: “The unmentionable crisis behind the military agenda of the West is that the transatlantic financial and monetary system is hopelessly doomed. It is not merely that the US Government is approximately USD 40 trillion in debt and the American people are carrying unsustainable loads of personal debt, but that the City of London and Wall Street are the owners of a multi-quadrillion-dollar bubble of derivatives obligations that cannot be sustained.” “NATO countries are selling weapons to Ukraine and Israel that will not even be produced until five years or more from now, necessitating the continuation of genocidal conflicts from the standpoint of the stakeholders and the speculators,” she stressed.

Moreover, President Donald John Trump has been “ill-served” by his advisers and appears to be “unwilling or unable to uphold his stated commitment to end forever wars”, while his Democratic opponents offer no alternative. Sare called upon the American people to join her campaign and to demand that “every officeholder uphold the principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution: Namely that all human beings are created equal – and all means all, not just those born within our borders or born into a particular faith or language culture, that all human beings are endowed with ‘unalienable rights’, and that governments are instituted to ‘secure these rights’, including our own government”.

Sare stated: “Securing the rights of ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness’ does not occur in the abstract, but must exist in the physical domain as well.” She continued: “Children living under constant bombing, threats of violence, starvation, disease and political oppression are being deprived of their God-given rights.

In the spirit of then-Secretary of State John Quincy Adams, Sare said that America should not “go abroad, in search of monsters to destroy”, but rather destroy the monsters within, starting by declaring the bankruptcy of the current transatlantic financial system.

The independent candidate further proposed to put that system through an orderly bankruptcy reorganisation, to put an end to floating exchange rates, in collaboration with Russia, China and India, among others, and to enact a global Glass-Steagall bank separation. The US could then issue credit to build national infrastructure projects, “which will dramatically increase the productive power of the American workforce and raise the standard of living”, while cooperating with nations now considered competitors or adversaries “for the benefit of mankind as a whole”.

Sare insisted: “It is to this end that I declare my independent candidacy for President of the United States, not to provide leadership in some distant era in January of ’29, but to give the American people a voice and a pathway to secure the policies that are urgently needed now.
