The Israel-Hamas Conflict has been going on for the past one year, and no one knows how many days it would take to turn the Palestinian territories into ruins! The Jewish Nation has openly declared that its main aim is to destroy the Gaza Strip, as well as other parts of Palestine. Unfortunately, the declaration has been embraced by the Western Powers who are providing the Zionist Regime with modern arms and ammunition.

Since October 7, 2023, an incredibly bloody and deadly operation has been going on in West Asia. Although many call it war, a little consideration suggests that what is happening in Gaza is basically an invasion (as war usually takes place between two parties with equal strength). Perhaps, the Israeli campaign will continue until Tel Aviv reaches its initial goal. So far, the Benjamin Netanyahu Administration has made a serious attempt to dilute the main issue through diplomacy and politics in an attempt to hide its real intention from the global community. The Western Powers, too, are supplying arms to Israel, instead of asking Tel Aviv to end the conflict. In fact, the West has encouraged the Jewish State to carry out genocide in the Palestinian territories.

Some argue that the Palestinian Hamas Movement triggered the conflict. However, there is a difference between an attack by a militant group and a State Terrorism. State Terrorism is when agents of a State carry out acts of violence against individuals or groups, either domestically or internationally. Moreover, if it continues to be done by a country as militarily efficient and prosperous as Israel with full support of a superpower, like the US; then such an act could not be justified by any means.

The conflict is no longer limited to the Gaza Strip. It is due to Israeli Prime Minister ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu, the dark clouds of war have covered Lebanon, Syria, Iran and other parts of West Asia. Israel is bombarding these countries in the pretext of destroying the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. So far, the Israeli airstrikes and missile attacks have claimed thousands of innocent lives! Tel Aviv and its Western partners have projected the Islamic terrorist activities as a quite serious matter. With this, they actually boost the Islamophobic mentality across the globe.

There is no hope of change in the fortunes of the Israel-Palestine issue or greater West Asia issue, unless psychological violence is cured. The recently-released statement of Netanyahu suggests that there is also no hope of abating the level of violence, neither among militants nor among those who counter militancy.

The international community may have to witness such violent State Terrorism for many more days! This endless violence, as well as indifference, may well be considered as a gift of globalisation in the 21st Century…
