Daring Women Commandos Protecting Israel

In a rare first, Israel has deployed women commandos to carry out operations in an enemy territory! The Israeli women commandos recently entered southern Lebanon with arms and eliminated Hezbollah fighters one after the other! After carrying out operations at Hezbollah hideouts, they quietly returned to their camp. The Iran-backed Lebanese Shia paramilitary group could not withstand the ambush of the Jewish girls.

The Zionist Regime has been fighting for its survival in West Asia since the birth of Israel on May 14, 1948. However, the Israeli generals never sent women forces to the battlefield before this! Ori Gordin, the Major General of the Israel Defence Force‘s (IDF) Northern Command, has broken the tradition. The outcome shows that he made no mistake in trusting the strong ladies. Later, the Israeli Army released a video of the successful ground operations carried out by the women commandos. It may be noted that the IDF started military operations in neighbouring Lebanon in October 2024 in order to destroy the bases of Hezbollah.

The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post reported that Major General Gordin sent the women commandos from the Combat Intelligence Battalion to southern Lebanon in the first week of November 2024 to collect information about Hezbollah activities. The women commandos sent various information to the IDF headquarters and conducted operations only after receiving instructions from Major General Gordin. While the women forces targeted some of the Hezbollah hideouts, the remaining areas were destroyed by the IDF personnel. According to sources close to Tel Aviv, the IDF has deployed women soldiers to the Israel-Syria border areas and Mount Dov (a strip of land on the Lebanese-Syrian border currently occupied by Israel) after their successful venture in southern Lebanon. Reports suggest that the IDF may also send the women commandos to Syria in the coming days. However, Tel Aviv has not issued any official statement about this.

Commenting on Operation Southern Lebanon, Corporal Tehila, a 21-year-old soldier from the Ayit Battalion, said that they identified individuals linked to terrorist activities before eliminating them. She told The Jerusalem Post: “We went in on foot. How much weight did we carry? Too much. Around 40% of our body weight. We were preparing for a long ambush.” Meanwhile, Corporal Shani (20) explained the logistics of their mission, stressing: “We walked about 1.5km into Lebanon, established a position in the field, maintained camouflage and began intelligence collection, using observation tools. Operationally, we entered areas untouched by the Israeli Forces since the Second Lebanon War (2006).

The IDF has confirmed that the women commandos not only located secret hideouts of Hezbollah, but also found the places where the Lebanese outfit hid anti-tank missiles! Now, attacks are being carried out in those places, one after the other. The women commandos claimed that the Hezbollah fighters set up their bases in schools, hospitals and even in residential areas. Corporal Shani stated: “In one case, we guided tank fire based on our photographs. The images we captured directly incriminated Hezbollah, showcasing their weaponry inside homes and villages. Later, attack helicopters struck those targets.” She informed the press that Hezbollah fighters were building bases in Lebanese villages as the IDF destroyed their hideouts in urban areas.

On October 1, 2024, Iran launched about 200 hypersonic ballistic missiles at targets in Israel, in at least two waves. The largest attack, carried out by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Aerospace Force, during the recent Iran-Israel conflict was codenamed Operation True Promise 2. Israel retaliated on October 26 by launching three waves of strikes against 20 locations in Iran and other locations in Iraq and Syria. Codenamed Operation Days of Repentance, it was the largest attack on the Islamic Republic since the Iran-Iraq War (1980-88). Israeli female pilots participated in that campaign, too! The IDF recently released images of the female pilots sitting in the cockpit of fighter jets. According to defence experts, the operation in Lebanon was much more difficult than the previous one in Iran as the women commandos had to make quick decisions while conducting ground operations inside the enemy territory.

In Israel, every citizen has to undergo military training and to serve the Armed Forces! However, the IDF had kept women soldiers in reserve for a long time. Now, the female brigade has got an opportunity to show their power!
