The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has triggered a sensation by claiming that the trust in Government among the youth decreased in the last couple of years due to COVID-19 Pandemic experience! After releasing its latest survey report in the first week of May 2022, the global lender said that the IMF experts had made such a prediction in December 2020. However, the survey did not reveal the names of the countries with the maximum number of affected youths.

The IMF officials came to the above mentioned conclusion after analysing the experience of the of the people surveyed in 140 countries till 2018 (prior to the Pandemic). As per the survey, those between the ages of 18 and 25, who witnessed the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic, have lost faith in their respective Governments. However, citizens of this age group have developed a strong confidence in their Governments, doctors and science in countries where Governments helped common people overcome the crisis period.

The study has found that those over 25 or under 18 had no significant effect on their confidence in the Governments. Researchers have found that those between the ages of 18 and 25 are more likely to be affected by environmental conditions. According to researchers, those, between 18 and 25, are more likely to be affected by the situation surrounding them, and COVID-19 Pandemic is no exception to this. In fact, doubts about the COVID-19 vaccine have shaken their confidence in the Governments and also in the State System after the outbreak.

This problem is that this effect leaves a lasting impact on the lives of people. As per the survey, people living in those countries, where the Governments have not been able to tackle the Pandemic successfully, have lost their confidence in their respective Governments, and also cast a shadow over Democracy. In countries, where there is a lack of Science Education and the citizens are not happy with the State System, people are skeptical over the need for Medical Science and Scientific Research. It is absolutely not desirable, either.

It seems that the Human Civilisation shall bear the burden of COVID-19 Pandemic for quite some time.
