Family Matters!

The story goes like this: The Man of the House returned home after searching for food. Upon his arrival, he found to his dismay that his wife was enjoying the company of her (male) friend! The angry husband demanded that his wife should choose any one of them, and she decided to leave that home with her friend… the problem did not end here. The husband fought violently with his wife’s friend, and both of them received serious injuries…
Such an incident was seen recently in a Penguin family! The National Geographic Channel posted a video recording of this incident on Twitter last week, and the video went viral almost immediately. Now, the video is a part of the channel’s Animal Fight Night show…

Watch the video: <blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>A fight breaks out when a husband comes home and finds his wife with another penguin. <a href=””></a></p>&mdash; Nat Geo Channel (@NatGeoChannel) <a href=””>November 4, 2016</a></blockquote>

The video shows two male penguins fighting for their one female partner, and both of them bleeding profusely! Finally, the wife penguin returned to her husband after he defeated the home wrecker… this video has helped viewers discover that these seemingly cuddly creatures can actually be brutal fighters! Their bony wings may not allow them to fly, but do enable them to brutally clobber the opponents…
Penguins are popularly known for being monogamous and loyal… most types of penguins also mate for life. Although Emperor Penguins are monogamous, they are known to change their partners each season.
