It’s All About Attitude

There is no end to the problem…..
These are the ‘most used’ words in our daily life, as we face various problems every day. But, why it happens?
To find the answer, a team of researchers at Harvard University had started conducting a study a couple of years ago. They recently prepared a report that has been published in The Conversation magazine. In that report, the Harvard researchers have claimed that those – who have been in serious trouble for a long time or still facing problems – tend to be afraid.
Lead researcher David Levary explained: “Why do many problems in life seem to stubbornly stick around, no matter how hard people work to fix them? It turns out that a quirk in the way human brains process information means that when something becomes rare, we sometimes see it in more places than ever.

Levary said that they first talked to people from different regions and tried to understand them. Then, they met members of the local surveillance committees that monitor the criminal activities in their respective areas. The two different versions of opinion allowed researchers to verify whether their observations were correct.
After analysing the type of activities of the local surveillance committees, researchers have come to know that committee members feel relaxed when the crime rate decreases in their localities or the culprit is caught. And their anxiety grows in case there is an increase in criminal activities.
The Harvard researchers experimented with three types of people. 1) Those, who are going through a really difficult phase, 2) Those, who are living a comparatively peaceful life, and 3) Those, who are enjoying a peaceful life. Surprisingly, the same trend has been found in every case: whenever someone is in danger, s/he feels that a greater danger lies ahead of them!

Levary insisted: “Why can’t people help but expand what they call threatening when threats become rare? Research from cognitive psychology and neuroscience suggests that this kind of behaviour is a consequence of the basic way that our brains process information – we are constantly comparing what is front of us to its recent context.
For the people, the most serious problem in life is to solve a problem and that is because of their mentality, attitude.
