Scientists recently revealed that human beings remain conscious for few moments even after their death.
They have made such a claim on the basis of their discussions with some patients, whose hearts stopped beating for few seconds in the past. However, doctors helped them get their hearts working again. Those patients told scientists that they were able to hear what people were talking about. Some of them even saw what happened at that time. Doctors, nurses and other medical staff have confirmed that patients are not lying.
Doctors explain that when our hearts stop beating, there is no blood getting to our brains. But, it’s not that the brain immediately stops receiving signals from the sensory nervous system.
In 2013, scientists conducted a study on mice to find the actual fact. They found that there were explosions of super-awareness in the brains of the mice immediately after their hearts stopped working (clinical death is the medical term for cessation of blood circulation and breathing).

If it happens in case of mice, then we can assume that other species experience the same. It means when a doctor declares his patient dead, the person can understand that people around him/her are saying that he/she is dead. Maybe, the patient also realises that nurses are running inside the cabin or doctors are checking him/her or his/her relatives are mourning. Whatever it may be, the person realises (at least for few seconds) that he or she is dead. Perhaps, it’s the most horrible feeling (to realise your own death).
The fear of death haunts everybody. Pablo Picasso used to believe that death is infectious. So, he did not want to attend funerals of his relatives and friends. Sometimes, the fear of death plays the role of driving force for some people. They try to work as much as possible before their death so that people remember them forever. According to some psychologists, every action of a person is basically an attempt to avoid death. Interestingly, majority of the people think that “we should not think about death, as we have to die someday”.

However, the details of ‘life after death’, as described in various publications, are not reliable. It is commonly said that there is a blue light at the end of a tunnel. Scientists do not believe this. They are of the opinion that there is nothing after death……it is a big ‘negation’.
Scientists and doctors believe that they will have to research a lot to find the actual truth. According to them, it would be wrong to reach a conclusion right now. Mark Twain once said: “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
