Estonians Learning Indian Languages

Pipedrive, a software company based in the Estonian capital of Tallinn, plans to localise its sales software tools in Indian languages in an attempt to capture the South Asian market.
Martin Koiva, the global head for customer support at the Estonian start-up company recently shared Pipedrive’s plans with the Indian media, saying: “Our sales management software content has been translated into Korean, Japanese and Portuguese, and now localisation of content is a strong possibility in Indian languages, although we do not have a specific timeline.”
According to Koiva, Pipedrive – famous for its sales customer relationship management (CRM) application – has around 700 customers in the South Asian country. Without revealing the names of their top Indian clients, he said that Pipedrive has started concentrating on the South Asian market after capturing the markets in Baltics, the US, the UK and Portugal. Koiva stressed that the top Pipedrive management also decided to set up bases in Brazil to ensure its presence in Latin America.
Meanwhile, the senior Pipedrive official made clear that they would not establish standalone offices in new markets, like India and Brazil, in the near future, saying: “We have serviced both markets from our other locations successfully for years.”
The total venture capital funding of Pipedrive, with a global customer base comprising of small and medium businesses – including growing tech companies across 140 countries, has touched USD 30 million. Bessemer Venture Partners, Rembrandt Venture Partners and Atomico, a global VC established by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom, are principal financiers of Pipedrive.
The Tallinn-based company’s global customer base primarily comprises small and medium businesses, including growing tech companies, across 140 countries.
